BMW Connected Classic App Reviews

The last update that they did completely undid the confidence that I had in BMW. I listen to the net radio without any problem before the update. Now when I get a phone call the radio is supposed to shut off until I finish my conversation and then resume when I have hung up. Now after the last update, the radio resumes after 5 seconds in the middle of the telephone conversation. I made a complaint with BMW because it is very dangerous for go back in the app to shut down the radio manually during the phone conversation when driving. I have been waiting for their update for the IO6 but it does not seem to be coming. It would seem that BMW is not very interested in the safety of their drivers. I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED BETTER FROM BMW!!!

I think BMW needs to update this app so the Tunein app works. Also missing is the ability for BT audio and USB audio to be enabled at the same time. The car should just take a preference rather than disabling the Bluetooth audio. I only connect my iPhone to the car for charging but when I disconnect the iPhone I lose BT audio. No biggie, I just have to reconfigure my iPhone in the iDrive to work again. More annoying than anything.

This app does not work with the BMW supplied "Y" adapter cable, it requires a straight USB connection. Of course, I discovered this after buying the $100+ cable from my BMW dealer when I picked the car up and spending a week troubleshooting my phone (iPhone 4). The app itself does not contain enough functionality yet ( hopefully more coming), unless you specifically want Twitter or Facebook integration.

This is a joke. BMW should have better worked with Apple on this. Of all car makers... Look at what Ford is doing!

This app is now a garbage simply because it doesnt update!

The only reason I used this app was for Spotify and Facebook/Twitter. Facebook is no longer available and when choosing Spotify the app crashes.

I dont like this app

A waste of money

It takes a few settings to fiddle with but it works just fine and works very well. Have had absolutely no issues with it from day one. Could use a few more features such as maybe using the cars network connection to play web radio rather than phones, but other than that, great app!

What a useless app. Im glad I bought the car used and didnt pay for this option!! Need a LOT more feature to be useful and justify the pricing of the Connected option on the car!!!

This app is a piece of junk. It works sometimes and most times it just wont get recognized by my car. It is incredible that cars costing a fraction of what a BMW costs have way better integration with the owners mobile phones. BMW should be ashame.

This app is not what I expected from BMW. It does not connect to the vehicle. It can not Send the destination to the vehicle. It can not lock or unlock the vehicle. So what does it do you may ask..... Well nothing absolutely nothing. I am Very disappointed to say the least.

There is no BMw connected app in Canadian app store. It is only for US! Fxxk u

Either release the app you are talking about in Canada or stop bragging about it. ... your app look like from 1980 and bad anyway. Get professional developers to develop it.

Why doesnt the gopro app work? Its not even listed on the screen when connected. One of the selling features of the car but alas does not work in Canada.

And to add insult to injury BMW refers to an improved app that isnt available in Canada!
